Our Story

Head Chef/Owner Kevin Shay grew up in a meat & potato family.

Growing tired of eating the same foods on a daily basis, Chef Shay made it his mission to branch out and try new things. It truly began in 2006 when he was introduced to Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern". After learning the different varieties in which food could be prepared, Chef Shay began ordering what to him was the strangest item on any given restaurant's menu. While he has an affinity for the bizarre, Chef Shay has turned his focus to fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes. "Shay Gourmet" was formed out of his love for being in the kitchen, and now he would like to share that passion with you.
